AMPiiN Core supports a fully local solar-aware charging mode designed to optimise EV charging based on real-time solar export. This integration operates entirely on-site, without reliance on Wi-Fi or cloud connectivity, using power data read directly from the property’s meter.

The system provides three solar charging modes:

1. Export-Only Charging
   Charging is allowed only when solar export exceeds 6 amps, ensuring the EV charges exclusively from surplus solar generation.
2. Minimum 6A Charging with Solar Boost
   The charger always supplies a baseline of 6 amps, and automatically increases the charging power whenever additional solar export becomes available.
3. Fallback Power Mode
   Charging begins at a defined fallback power level and only increases when more solar energy is being exported.

This local integration focuses solely on preventing charging when solar export conditions aren’t met. All decisions are made directly on the property, ensuring fast response, stable operation, and optimal use of excess solar energy.
